As the sun rises and the foliage parts a new day of adventure will start as T.I.G.E.R.S. (The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species) opens a portal to the glorious world of human kinds lasting love of animals with their wildlife preservation, education and training programs.

T.I.G.E.R.S will lead the public to thrilling encounters that are both heart pounding and heart warming with the real exotic creatures who rule there. Through this web site you will journey into the mysteries, marvels and thrills of the ever unfolding story of exotic animals by being a part of their training, lives and the effort to save these beautiful animals.

You can now even visit our animal ambassadors in the confort of their own home when you Take the Tour.

You will also have a chance to view our long list of credits and recognize the animal ambassador that you have seen in one of our many movies, commercials or live shows. You can even explore our multimedia page and see clips, photos, and hear sounds of our animals in action or look at the tiger information page to find out some cool facts about tigers in general. Our web site guests will then have the opportunity to discover how they could become animal trainers with our apprenticeship program.

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has worked since 1954 to promote the protection of all animals. With nearly ten million members and constituents, The HSUS is the nation’s largest and most powerful animal protection organization, working in the United States and abroad to defend the interests of animals. We celebrate the human-animal bond, and we fight animal cruelty and abuse in all of its forms.

We work to reduce suffering and to create meaningful social change for animals by advocating for public policies to protect animals, investigating cruelty and working to enforce existing laws, educating the public about the issues, and conducting hands-on programs, such as assisting animals when disasters strike. Our major campaigns target four primary issues: 1) factory farming, 2) animal fighting and other forms of animal cruelty, 3) the fur trade, and 4) inhumane sport hunting practices.

Our other campaigns take on puppy mills, the private ownership of exotic animals as pets, greyhound racing, and particularly unacceptable animal research and testing practices, such as the use of great apes in research. Our two signature programs—Pets for Life and Wild Neighbors—celebrate the benefits of the bond between people and animals who live with us or in our communities, and teach people how to solve human/animal conflicts humanely. And we provide direct care for thousands of animals at our sanctuaries, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and mobile veterinary clinics.

Throughout this site you can learn more about The HSUS and how you can support our work. A humane society starts with you.

ARIZONA LABRADOR & GIANT BREED RESCUE

Arizona Labrador & Giant Breed Rescue is an all volunteer organization.

We seek out loving homes for our labs and giant breeds, provide quality interim care and rehabilitation through volunteer
foster homes and veterinary intervention.  We are always looking for volunteers who will save a life by becoming a foster home.

Simply click on the lab picture below to get to this site.

These people are all volunteers and they truly love and respect animals.  They save them from being euthanized and put them in foster homes to get them ready for their new homes.

If you are in the area and looking for a dog, please stop by and visit them or give them a call :o)

I had the great pleasure of meeting Leanne and Pam who are volunteers for this organization. They are the nicest people you ever want to meet and will make sure you get a dog that is right for you and your family.  They also need all the donations they can get. Donations is what keeps this organization going. If you cannot adopt a pup from them, but can find it in your heart to donate a few dollars for their cause, they would deeply appreciate it. It is all tax deductible, Thanks :o)

(I AM ALL FOR PLACES LIKE THIS, UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE NOT MANY PLACES LIKE THIS!!) THEY ARE IN DIRE NEED OF LANDSCAPING MATERIALS SUCH AS SOD, GRASS SEED, WATER PLANTS, TREES, AND SHRUBS, FRUIT TREES, TREE REMOVAL, WOOD CHIPPER,  AS WELL AS  SUPPLIES FOR THE ANIMALS.  IT IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND IS RUN ON DONATIONS. THEY HAVE TO BEAT A DEADLINE OF JUNE 30TH FOR UPGRADES TO THE PROPERTY AROUND A NEWLY BUILT BEAUTIFUL POND OR THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY $5000 IN FINES PER DAY AND WILL BE FORCED TO CLOSE.

THANKS.  IT IS FOR A GOOD CAUSE :o)

I HAVE CALLED THREE LOCAL TV STATIONS AND KEPT ON THEM TO DO A STORY ON THE SANCTUARY AND FINALLY TODAY 06/20/07,  2 OUT OF THE 3 STATIONS CONTACTED ME AND WERE GOING OUT TO HUBERT, NC, TO DO STORIES ON POSSUMWOODACRES.  YAY!  PEOPLE NEED TO BE INFORMED OF WHAT IS GOING ON AND HOPEFULLY SOME FELLOW ANIMAL LOVERS WILL SHOW UP AND HELP THIS PLACE OUT SO IT DOESN'T HAVE TO CLOSE :o)
